On-demand private aviation company Flapper partners with Brazil’s largest airline ticket consolidator
Flapper, Brazil’s first boutique private airline and charter marketplace, has just announced a partnership with RexturAdvance, the country’s leading air ticket consolidator, property of travel conglomerate CVC Group. The integration is considered the first of its kind in the Latin America region, where executive aviation is still a choice predominantly for the ultra-wealthy.
Flapper has previously integrated with Argo, a self-booking corporate travel tool reportedly used by 55% of the large corporations in Brazil. The partnership with RexturAdvance extends its footprint onto a lucrative leisure market and further consolidates its position within the B2B segment.
Known as the Uber of private aviation, Flapper offers individual seats on King Air B200 and Grand Caravan aircraft on a number of premium routes in Brazil’s Southeast region. The inventory of scheduled flights and empty legs will now be available for immediate sale at Reserva Fácil, RexturAdvance’s reservation system used by more than 7000 travel agents focused on small and medium-sized enterprises segment. The flights cost between US$100 per person for an empty leg flight Angra dos Reis – São Paulo to US$350 per person on a scheduled flight São Paulo – Rio de Janeiro.
According to RexturAdvance’s Head of Marketing, Renata Esteves, the collaboration is in line with the company’s objective of offering travel agents more types of services: “The possibility to arrive at the airport 20 minutes before the departure, as well as the affordable price, differentiating elements among the business travellers,” says the executive.
“The partnership with RexturAdvance will result in an unprecedented access to executive aviation services, among both travel agents and corporate customers,” stated Arthur Virzin, CTO and Co-founder of Flapper.
The alliance doesn’t yet encompass charter services, although both companies are willing to explore such possibility in the near future. As of May 2019, Flapper has fully integrated more than 200 Part-132 certified aircraft in Brazil. More than 70% of its sales come from the mobile app.
