Sergio Aguirre

Sergio Aguirre is president and chief operating officer of Gogo Business Aviation, reporting directly to the CEO. He joined Gogo in 2007.
 
Aguirre has led the team during the time it developed some of the company’s most significant connectivity solutions, including the Gogo AVANCE platform, which has become one of the most successful solutions in the company’s history.
 
Aguirre is an aviation industry veteran with more than 35 years of experience, serving in a variety of positions from A&P mechanic to sales, product development, marketing and senior-level management.
 
Prior to joining Gogo, he served as director of OEM and aftermarket sales, marketing and support for Securaplane, helping to pioneer the installation of exterior cameras on corporate aviation aircraft. He served in a similar capacity for Airshow in the late 1990s where he was part of the team that launched the first Ku TV system that became the industry standard across business aviation and commercial airlines.
 
From 1989-1996 he served in various roles in both service and completion centers and served as a customer account manager for Gulfstream Aerospace where he was involved in the first installations of Inmarsat systems on Gulfstream aircraft.
 
As a member of the United States Air Force, from 1984-1988, he was an aircraft structural mechanic and worked on F-111s and H1N helicopters.
 
Aguirre attended Orange Coast College, and completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. He also holds an FAA airframe and power plant license.

Ali Ahmed Alnaqbi is the Founding and Executive Chairman of the Middle East & North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. A seasoned industry professional, Alnaqbi has more than 30 years of experience in the aviation industry and sits on the Board of several reputed international aviation companies.
He entered the industry as Vice-President – Finance & Administration with the UAE’s Head of State flight operations. In this role, he became involved with VIP air transportation. He was the founder of Royal Jet, now one of the world’s most award-winning VIP aviation operators. During this period, he realized that there was inadequate knowledge and misconception about business aviation in the region, and in 2006, he began identifying stakeholders to establish MEBAA.
With his vast experience spanning aircraft purchase, sale, lease, and VIP interior completion, Alnaqbi’s knowledge base make him a valued contributor to the business aviation industry, and he is currently using that experience through MEBAA to represent the industry across the Middle East and North Africa.

Hardy Bütschi was appointed as Regional Vice President MRO & FBO Operations Middle East GM Dubai in 2018. He also holds responsibility for the strategic growth and development of new capabilities in the region.
Bütschi joined Jet Aviation in 2004 as Director of Sales & Deputy Director of Customer Support. He went on to hold further roles as Director of Sales in Customer Support & Maintenance Planning, and Vice President/ General Manager/ Accountable Manger in both Saudi Arabia and Dubai, before assuming his current position.
Bütschi has over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry, beginning his career as a polytechnical engineer apprentice for Pilatus Aircraft in Switzerland. He holds a number of certifications, including an MBA with a major in strategy from the University of Strathclyde, MSc. in Business Administration with a major in marketing from the University of Wales, and has completed an Advanced Management Program (AMP) with Harvard Business School in the US.

In 2008 he moved on to Bombardier commercial aircraft customer services division to support the regional fleet of Lufthansa CityLine and Eurowings.

Col Julka has over 29 years of experience in the aviation sector, both in the Army and Business Aviation. Just before retirement, he was the Senior Aviation Advisor  where he strategised employent of 30 helicopters in war and peace, at the borders in Plains as well as Deserts. As CEO of India Flysafe Aviation Limited, where he served for six years, he was instrumental in improving charter flying in the Company by 80 percent, with increased revenue and profitability. He was also responsible for oversight of three private airfields. He was elected as the Vice-President of Business Aircraft Operator’s Association of India (BAOA), where he pioneered the first ever industry report on Business Aviation in India and was instrumental in resolving many regulatory for the Industry. Rohit Kapur

After an illustrious career in the Indian Army, flying helicopters for almost 20 years, Rohit decided to hang up his boots and moved to the world of civil aviation in 2003. He has served in numerous leadership roles within business aviation since, including as CEO and company founder.
In addition to setting up the corporate aviation department for Punj Lloyd Limited, a foremost Indian infrastructure company, and leading it for several years, Rohit served as the CEO of Indocopters Private Limited, the sales and support distributor of Airbus Helicopters (then Eurocopters) in India.
Rohit founded Arrow Aircraft in 2010, and was responsible for its vertical handling Gulfstream, HondaJet and Beechcraft sales. He’s an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and contributed to the founding of the Business Aircraft Operators Association (BAOA) in India. Chris was the founder and CEO of Shearwater Global Capital which was a private finance company offering asset-based financing for aviation assets across the globe. Prior to Shearwater he was Managing Director of Guggenheim Partners Business Aircraft Investment (BAI) Group. The BAI Group provided capital solutions to the Business Aviation Industry; specifically, asset-based lending on a medium to large sized business aircraft.
Before entering the business world, Chris served in the United States Marine Corps, as an F/A-18 pilot, Aircraft Maintenance Officer and Aviation Safety Officer. Captain Ramandeep Oberoi is the Chief Executive Officer and Accountable Manager at Falcon Aviation Services. With more than 26 years of aviation experience in sales, strategy, business development and operations at Bombardier, Nilesh is responsible for business aircraft sales in Asia-Pacific and China. Through his strong work ethic, unrelenting focus on trust, relationships and customer experience, he has been leading the effort of Bombardier’s expansion and market leadership across the vast region. A consummate deal maker, Nilesh is extremely passionate about using his expertise to develop bespoke business aviation solutions for customers based on their needs and growing the industry in Asia Pacific.
Nilesh began his career with Bombardier in 1996 at Bombardier Aerospace headquarters in Montreal, then held positions of increasing responsibility within Bombardier sites in North America and Europe. In 2006, he was appointed Managing Director for South Asia, responsible for sales of Bombardier Learjet, Challenger, and Global business jets and for developing Bombardier’s presence in the region. In 2012, he was appointed to the position of Regional Vice President, Sales, for Asia-Pacific, overseeing all new aircraft sales across South Asia, North Asia and Australasia and, in May 2022, he assumed the additional responsibility for new aircraft sales in China.
He is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where he received a Bachelor of Engineering degree and also completed Executive and Advanced Management Programs.

Vinit Phatak has spearheaded entrepreneurial enterprises in telecommunications, marine safety, and aviation. In 2007, he launched Invision Air, an innovative service using four-passenger light jets to connect relatively inaccessible regions of India for investors, promoters, and bankers, ultimately growing the company into a holistic private aviation business.
In 2017, Vinit and Invision Air partnered with ACASS to launch ACASS India, bringing the experience, knowledge, and resources of a global business aviation support leader to the region. The successful partnership evolved further when Vinit decided in 2021 to move to Canada and work closely with the team at ACASS’s headquarters. In the new position as Director of Global Business Development, he was able to gain insights from a wide range of markets and clients. Capt Sakeer Sheik who is driven by passion and love for Aviation is one of the youngest Pilot to own an aircraft in India and started his career in the mid 1990’s with a Pilot Training Academy (Flight School).
Later he moved to Dubai – UAE and formed Titan Aviation Group during 2004.
Capt. Sakeer is an Alumni of Embry Riddle. In the past, he has served as a Board Member, and Government Representative for Aviation companies based in the Middle East.
As an industry veteran, he has helped HNI’s and large corporations by proving to them that owning or chartering a private jet is relatively more economical while considering the savings of time and other tangible benefits. He has also been a strong proponent of flight safety and safety management system, and had worked hard to steer owners and customers away from grey charter market.

He has extensive experience of rendering legal advise on setting up in India, aircraft leasing and financing, aircraft acquisition and sale transactions, foreign exchange control laws, commercial agreements, and day-to-day legal issues faced by airlines/operators.
He advises several lessors, foreign airlines, and non-scheduled operators.
In addition to aviation, he advises clients in other industry verticals such as shipping, logistics, and manufacturing.

Vincent is Head of Marketing for Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJ) based in Toulouse, France. He is leading a team of Marketing Analysts & Managers based in various regions, from Asia to North America, and responsible for carrying out Market Analysis, ACJ promotion, prospecting, as well as supporting Aircraft transactions through Performance & Economics analysis.
Vincent joined Airbus in 2005 and has held various roles in the Commercial marketing division, leading for instance the Marketing activity for the Pacific region, based in Sydney, and more recently the marketing activity for the South East Asia region, based in Singapore. Vincent has an Engineering Master degree in Aeronautic and Aerospace design from the French engineering school ISAE, completed by Master in Business Administration courses. Vincent started his career in 2005 at Airbus Defence & Space focusing on the design of composite structures.
